Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and promote a SAFE First Culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform job hazard analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and update location standards, policies, and practices.
• Collaborate with the Safety Manager to create and revise training programs.
• Train associates and supervisors on safety and environmental awareness.
• Maintain records and prepare reports to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety and environmental inspections in the warehouse.
• Organize and coordinate emergency response efforts.
• Conduct ergonomics assessments and implement solutions.
• Lead the safety committee and facilitate ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance.
• Promote a culture of zero incidents and strong value on human resources.
• Complete monthly training on safety and environmental topics.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Drive a proactive culture in detecting and eliminating risks.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor on safety, health, and environmental aspects.

Skills:

• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and OH DEP regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO 14000 & OHSAS standards.
• Experience in accident investigation and job safety analysis.
• Ability to train large groups and manage projects effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and build relationships in a matrixed organization.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a safety & environmental or engineering role.
• Self-motivated and confident professional with a commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable development.
