Job Description
Are you a skilled Drafting Detailer with experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals? Muia Steel Ltd. is growing and we're looking for a talented, detail-oriented professional to join our team in Brampton!
Position Overview:
This onsite, full-time role involves preparing shop and installation drawings using Advance Steel with AutoCAD . The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in steel detailing and a strong understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare detailed drawings using Advance Steel/AutoCAD
Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Review drawings for accuracy and compliance
Create complete documentation and drawing sets
Qualifications:
College/CEGEP diploma in a relevant field (Architectural, Civil, or Industrial Tech)
Minimum 5 years' drafting/detailing experience in structural & miscellaneous steel
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Advance Steel , and ideally Tekla
Familiarity with welding symbols
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Asset Skills:
Experience with Bluebeam, Steel Solutions, Visual Solutions, Beam Cut Soft
Tekla Structures
CAD proficiency
MS Windows environment
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting at $25/hour (based on experience)
