Job Description
A lively, family-friendly restaurant inspired by the rich flavors of America’s heartland—and reminiscent of the classic roadside eateries that thrived before the highway boom of the late 1950s—is seeking a part-time Office Manager.
In this role, the Office Manager will handle a variety of administrative and financial responsibilities to keep operations running smoothly. Key duties include processing daily restaurant sales, preparing invoices, and applying deposits once received. The position also involves calculating and preparing tips for hosts and bussers, running payroll reports, creating payroll worksheets in Excel, and coordinating with the payroll company to ensure accuracy and timely approvals.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Prepare petty cash checks.
· Make bank deposits twice weekly.
· Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), including file maintenance.
· Prepare weekly and monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
· Perform bank reconciliations.
· File monthly sales tax reports.
· Maintain accurate personnel files.
Occasionally, the role requires:
· Process occasional insurance claims (Workers’ Compensation and liability).
· Prepare P&L data for annual insurance audits.
· Maintain OSHA log and file annual OSHA report.
Experience and Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· 3–5 years of relevant experience
· Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills
· Prior restaurant experience is a plus
