Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LGPC, LMSW) - Bowie

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide culturally sensitive and individualized outpatient therapy, while developing crisis and wellness plans that support clients on their mental health journeys. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to a nurturing clinical environment that fosters professional growth.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Conduct strength-based assessments for new clients and families, creating a welcoming environment for diverse backgrounds.
  • Provide tailored outpatient therapy for individuals and families, fostering healing and resilience.
  • Develop comprehensive crisis, safety, and wellness plans to empower clients in their mental health journey.
  • Participate in case consultations and agency meetings, enhancing client care through collaboration.
  • Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, and treatment plans, upholding professional standards.
  • Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and fellow therapists for a holistic approach.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
  • Provisional license as required by state regulations.
  • A passion for mental health and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development, including free supervision and continuing education.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
  • Effective time management skills to complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently.
