Job Description

Job Title: Audit & Transaction Advisory Manager

Location: Dallas, TX (Providence Tower – Spring Valley & Dallas North Tollway)

Job Type: Full-Time (On-Site Mon-Thurs, Flex Fridays)

Compensation: $125,000 – $175,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonuses

About the Firm

We are a unique, multi-faceted financial services firm creating a legacy brand in the Dallas market. Unlike traditional CPA firms, we operate three distinct entities under one roof: a CPA firm, a FINRA/SEC registered Investment Banking entity, and a Wealth Management group managing nearly $1 billion in assets.

Our clients are strictly for-profit operating companies, primarily first-to-third-generation business owners, family offices, and private equity groups. We focus on the middle market (revenue $25M - $1B+) across diverse industries including manufacturing, logistics, FinTech, real estate, and healthcare. We do not handle non-profits or governmental work.

The Role

We are seeking a Manager (or a heavy Senior Supervising Senior ready for promotion) to join our Financial Reporting Group. This is not a "churn and burn" compliance role; it is a growth position designed for a future leader of the firm. You will work on a mix of high-level audit engagements and transactional M&A work, often acting as an advocate for clients during sales and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit & Assurance: Manage full audit engagements for a book of roughly 100 diverse clients.
  • Transaction Advisory: Work closely with the Investment Banking team on M&A transactions (sell-side and buy-side), managing data rooms, and performing Quality of Earnings (Q of E) reports.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for business owners and private equity groups. You will manage the relationship from the engagement letter and budgeting through to the final report and billing.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and review the work of a team of 2–4 staff members (typically with 3+ years of experience).
  • Operations: Participate in Monday morning management meetings to discuss active engagements and firm strategy.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensure: Active CPA license is required

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on Audit .
  • Experience with Private Equity or M&A/Transactional work is strongly preferred.
  • Must have experience working with private, middle-market companies.
  • Note: Candidates with primarily governmental/non-profit experience or a history of "job hopping" (changing firms every 18-24 months) will not be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with CCH (Engagement and timekeeping software) is a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional command of the English language is required. You must be able to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to high-net-worth individuals and seasoned business owners (ages 50–70+).
  • Commute: Must live within a reasonable commuting distance (approx. 30 mins) of the office in North Dallas to ensure longevity and work-life balance.

Why Join Us?

  • Growth Potential: This role is part of a succession plan with a clear path to leadership.
  • Work-Life Balance: We reject the "big firm" burnout model. We manage workflow to keep hours in the 45–50 range, rarely peaking at 60. We offer a hybrid-style schedule with Flex Fridays.
  • Culture: A professional yet "family-oriented" environment. We operate with a "Dress for the Day" policy (Jeans/Polos acceptable unless meeting clients).
  • Compensation: Aggressive base salary with a history of annual raises (~10%).
  • Bonuses: Performance-based bonuses (targeting 8-10%+ of base) based on chargeability (goal ~80%) and realization.
  • Benefits: Full benefits suite (Medical/Dental via Paychex PEO), 401(k), paid underground parking, and access to an on-site gym and high-end deli.

Interview Process

  1. Virtual screening with Senior Management.
  2. On-site interview to meet the team and tour the office. Target Start Date: Mid-to-Late January.
