Day Shift: 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care within the Interventional Radiology department, focusing on stroke and trauma interventions. The RN will monitor patients post-procedure, assisting with various procedures and ensuring a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary RN in the procedural area, covering scrub and circulation responsibilities.


• Assist with patient recovery from conscious sedation, coordinating care with PACU when necessary.


• Utilize specialized equipment and manage medication during procedures.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.


• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, especially in sedation and patient monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a stroke center, with Level I or II experience required.


• Experience with specialty equipment such as EKOS, A-line, and procedural wedge pressures.


• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at the time of submission.


• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
