ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe
\n• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:2-3 for adults
\n• Care for trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress patients
\n• Required to titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
\n• Must read, interpret, and document telemetry strips
\n• May float to PCU or MedSurg units with ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
\n• One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
\n• Must pass open book exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% score
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• Driver's license required at submittal
\n• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility
\n• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
\n• Self-scheduling for core staff with travelers added in
\n• Block scheduling not guaranteed
\n• Charting system: EPIC
\n• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

\nThis healthcare facility operates a 33-bed intensive care unit with an average daily census of 16 patients. The facility is a Level 2 trauma center providing acute care services with comprehensive ICU capabilities. The unit is equipped with modern monitoring technology including GE telemetry systems and provides care for a diverse patient population requiring intensive medical intervention. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes current healthcare technology and protocols.
