Transportation Operations Manager – Lead the Future of Transportation in Houston, TX!

We’re currently seeking a highly motivated Transportation Operations Manager to assist the VP of Operations in Houston, TX. If you’re passionate about leading operations, optimizing fleet management, and contributing to strategic growth, this role is for you!

What You'll Do as a Transportation Operations Manager:

• Collaborate with Leadership : Assist the VP of Operations in overseeing all transportation activities and managing day-to-day operations.
• Fleet Oversight : Manage fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and dispatching.
• Policy Implementation : Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation laws and regulations.
• Operational Analysis : Review performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for operational efficiency.
• Staff Leadership : Lead and mentor a dedicated team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Cross-Department Coordination : Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and seamless operations.
• Customer Support : Address customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and efficiency.
• Repair Coordination : Coordinate daily fleet repairs, prioritize in-house and outside shop repairs to maintain vehicle readiness.
• Vehicle Management : Oversee the vehicle onboarding and removal processes and conduct key audits to track vehicle inventory on the lot daily.
• Compliance & Safety : Ensure that driver, vehicle, and D&A files are fully compliant with contracts and regulations in collaboration with driver services and safety teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience : Proven background in transportation management or a similar role.
• Leadership : Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
• Organization : Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with teams, customers, and external partners.
• Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in transportation management software and tools.
• Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• License : Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
