KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. The role supports the US Space Force/Air Force Research Laboratory’s ASTRO contract to provide mission equipment operations, maintenance, and upgrades to the USSF’s AMOS site in Maui, Hawaii. The AMOS site monitors man-made objects in space and develops next-generation capabilities for space domain awareness. The position requires maintaining 24/7/365 readiness in support of USSF operations and specialized missions. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining mission equipment at the telescope facilities on Haleakala or Government’s Kihei office. Candidates must have effective communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style for different audiences. Qualifications include a Bachelor Degree with 10 years of related Information Systems experience or equivalent, IAM Level 2 certification, experience with NIST 800 series, Security+ or relevant certifications, and the ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI Clearance with active Secret clearance required. Desired qualifications include experience with ICD 503 and Military/DOD experience. The work environment supports work from home when compatible with contract requirements but requires presence for upgrades, maintenance, or significant tests.
