This role has responsibility for operational inventory management of patient care supplies. It supervises all day-to-day activities of inventory management supporting clinical partners, including warehousing, stocking, par level maintenance, transactional accounting of inventory movement, and reconciliation of inventory balances. The position assigns tasks and ensures work is performed according to approved procedures and standards, fostering employee engagement and ensuring compliance with Supply Chain policies and procedures.

Base pay range

$80,600.00/yr - $107,400.00/yr

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure execution of all processes to Supply Chain Standards, drive expectations and measure results through the MDI process, maintain departmental policies and procedures, and maintain an efficient work environment through 5S. Ensure daily workload is balanced and assigned appropriately.
• Review, monitor, and document employee performance, attendance, and behavior. Provide in-service education/training to ensure staff are updated on policies, procedures, performance expectations, regulatory issues, and departmental changes.
• Ensure all inventory transactions are executed correctly, and inventory is right-sized to meet customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with Hospital Policies/Procedures and regulatory policies (e.g., JCAHO, IDPH, OSHA).
• Act as a liaison to Patient Care areas to resolve supply issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Completed Bachelors degree or relevant work experience; in lieu of degree consideration may apply
• Supervisory skills including planning, organizing, controlling and evaluating operational needs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to collaborate in a diverse, goal-oriented team environment
• Ability to work in a high-stress setting while maintaining excellent customer service
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and push 450 pounds on wheels for short distances
• Understanding of Lean concepts, continual improvement, and problem solving
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of leadership experience
• Experience working in a medical setting
