Job Title: Sr. UX Writer – In-Vehicle Experience (Only local candidates)

Location: Hybrid – Palo Alto, CA (94304) or Irvine, CA

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–6 PM or 9 AM–6 PM (8 hours/day with 1-hour non-billable lunch)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior UX Writer to join our team focused on Rivian’s in-vehicle and mobile app experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft intuitive, engaging copy that supports and enhances user journeys across our digital platforms, including app, web, and in-vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create clear, concise, on-brand UX copy that enhances usability and communicates purpose.
• Translate complex automotive and digital concepts into approachable language.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers from ideation through launch.
• Work within Figma and maintain consistency using our internal copy systems and voice guidelines.
• Contribute to copy strategy and help define the tone of new features or experiences.
• Occasionally assist with naming conventions, positioning statements, and broader content strategy projects.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years writing for digital products and experiences, with a strong UX focus.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end flows and smart, engaging copy.
• Proficient with Figma , Google Workspace , Jira , and Confluence .
• Excellent presentation and communication skills—able to defend and explain content decisions.
• Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Experience balancing brand voice with UX clarity and user needs.

Hybrid Work Model
