Job Description

Before we can prepare and serve the food, we have to make sure our schedules are ready for each day! As the department scheduler you will help to coordinate and maintain schedules for our Food and Beverage department. Ensuring we meet the needs of each of our operating days. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Six Flags Mantra – Friendly, Clean, Fast, and Safe Service
• Understanding requirements of various positions to ensure that team members are only scheduled for positions they are appropriately trained
• Obtaining team member availabilities three weeks in advance to coordinate and enter schedules
• Entering schedules into the Six Flags Scheduling System (Optim 8)
• Coordinating with Trainers to issue schedules to incoming team members
• Reporting any departmental scheduling issues or staffing issues to Food & Beverage Management Team
• Ensuring that schedules are accurate, and comply with all applicable labor standards
• Ability to recognize errors and correct in a timely manner to ensure an accurate schedule
• Complying with department grooming guidelines
• Enforcing and complying with all Six Flags New England policies
• Performing other duties as assigned or necessary to support Six Flags New England

Skills and Qualifications:

• Willing to work in a high-performance team environment
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, sitting for long periods of time, lifting, etc.
• 18 years old or older
• Ability to communicate effectively with large numbers of people
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language

Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
