Exciting Opportunity: School Social Worker (K-5) in McHenry, IL

We're currently seeking a dedicated  Licensed School Social Worker ($50-$55/hour)  to support  K-5th grade students in the  McHenry, IL area for the 2025-2026 school year .

Job Details:

• Full-time, in-person position
• School Year Dates: August 14, 2025 - May 28, 2026
• Daily Schedule: 8:45 AM - 4:00 PM (7 hours 20 minutes/day, includes 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Competitive Pay: $50-$55 per hour

Role Overview:
As a School Social Worker, you'll provide critical support to K-5th grade students, including those in 5 self-contained classrooms (4 autism and 1 adjusted learning/life skills). You'll collaborate with another social worker to address students' social-emotional needs, develop intervention strategies, and support their academic success. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group social work services to elementary students
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
• Conduct assessments and maintain appropriate documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Social Work
• PEL (Professional Educator License) with School Social Work endorsement
• Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
