A well-respected company providing heavy equipment and engineering services for clients throughout the Pacific Northwest is looking to add a Safety Manager to their team of professionals near Portland OR.
Direct hire, bonus eligible and relocation package offered.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement crane safety procedures and policies in line with OSHA regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of heavy equipment operations.
Coordinate and conduct safety training for crane operators and other relevant personnel.
Investigate any accidents or incidents related to crane operations and implement corrective actions.
Maintain and update all safety documentation and records.
Work closely with management and staff to foster a safety-first culture within the organization.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in heavy equipment safety.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and inspected regularly.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in a related field such as Heavy Equipment or Heavy Haul.
Excellent understanding of heavy equipment and or crane operations and safety regulations.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to conduct training and safety drills.
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field is preferred.
