Job Description

Position Summary

Join to apply for the Retail Customer Service Associate role at FedEx Office. The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience to all customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This customer-service-focused team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Stores business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating activities in the Store, providing pricing and product information, recommending appropriate FedEx Office products and services, operating and maintaining a wide variety of equipment, managing the production queue, handling complex projects, managing retail supply, and completing assigned tasks based on priority.

General Duties And Responsibilities


People


  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions.
  • Assist in the training of store team members.


Service
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand each customers individualized need.
  • Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipatory consultative skills and resolving problems quickly and satisfactorily.
  • Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information.
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items, inserting into containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels.
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied media and documents.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store.


Profit
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer data and handle documents, media, and packages carefully.
  • Process financial transactions using a POS terminal, including handling cash and making change.
  • Clean, repair, and stock all retail store equipment and supplies for optimal performance.
  • Stay current on merchandising materials and ensure proper display of all retail area products and signage.
  • Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste.
  • Complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting, including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits.
  • Follow FedEx Office SOPs and adhere to legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies and procedures.

  • Operate with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to all FedEx Office team member and retail store standards, as outlined in the handbook.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required.


Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of specialized experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Essential Functions
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees consistently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members consistently.
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction consistently.
  • Ability to function in a fast?paced environment under substantial pressure consistently.
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods consistently.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision consistently.
  • Ability to report regularly and maintain established business hours to support the FedEx Office business.

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. The actual starting pay will be determined by experience, market level, location, and other factors permitted by law. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The company offers eligible employees health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay

$22.10 $25.97/hr
