Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Researcher - Crypto - this is a fully remote role for US candidates or Europe candidates (if they can overlap EST hours).
We are the first automated, on-chain economic security system enabling crypto protocols to optimize risk management and capital efficiency while protecting user funds. We use world-class custom EVM simulations to understand protocol mechanics and scenario implications.
Leading protocols use our platform and tools, helping them manage and secure billions of dollars in assets, including Aave, GMX, dYdX, Venus, and more.
Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive analysis of emerging DeFi protocols and products, focusing on Risk Modeling, Mechanism Design and parameter optimization.
Analyze financial data to draw out insights specific to protocol requirements, leveraging key metrics for various analyses.
Develop and deliver professional reports with organized data for clients and the broader community.
Write formal, rigorous research papers that contribute to the body of knowledge in the DeFi space and support the decision-making process for clients and stakeholders.
Engage with clients during the pre-sale phase to understand their needs and develop strategic research plans.
Host regular progress meetings with clients, providing updates and insights on research developments.
Collaborate with the Chaos Labs product team to recommend data and features for the Chaos Risk Observability and Monitoring portal, enhancing its utility for protocols and communities.
Proven experience in economic research, risk analysis, or a related field, with a preference for candidates with DeFi space exposure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid history of conducting data-driven research.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of compiling and presenting research findings and writing formal research papers.
Team player with the ability to work with clients and internal teams to refine product offerings.
Proficient in reading and a strong understanding of smart contract code.
Comfortable running and modifying Python scripts, and capable of writing basic Python scripts for data fetching and normalization for research purposes.
Knowledge of DeFi protocols, financial markets, and black-swan events is highly desirable.
Experience in writing Python scripts and functions to fetch and normalize data to support research activities.
