Job Description

Our client, a leading North American manufacturer is seeking a QA Manager to be responsible for leading the QA team members with various inspections and activities in relation to the quality of product processed throughout the facility.

This talented QA Manager with have extensive HACCP management, product specifications, regulatory and GMP experience to lead their QA function. Please note this is a hands on, on site position- there is no remote capability.

Key Responsibilities will Include:

• Ensuring compliance with product specifications, labeling, and regulatory standards
• Overseeing and implementing HACCP, GMP, and other food safety and quality programs for the plant.
• Providing oversight for the development of robust manufacturing control processes and related reports use throughout the plant.
• Managing customer complaint investigations, resolution and tracking.
• Performing gap analysis on all Food Safety and Quality processes and procedures.
• Training, mentoring, and supervising QA Supervisors & Coordinators.
• Managing the hold and release program
• Establishing finished goods quality standards, monitor down-graded product and work with manufacturing to reduce them to appropriate levels.
• You will work closely with R&D, Operations and Logistics to maintain the highest levels of product safety and quality across the manufacturing and supply chain process.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science or related discipline required.
• Minimum 5+ years experience as a QA Manager in the food manufacturing sector required.
• Expertise with Sanitation, HACCP, USDA, and GFSI/ BRC quality programs.
