Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Payroll & HRIS Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. You will play a key role in processing payroll, maintaining accurate payroll records, and accurately leverage HRIS technology to optimize HR operations and support strategic decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, prior HRIS implementation experience and management, along with proficiency in various software's.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring timely and accurate calculations, and deductions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and issuing payments.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, multi-state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Ensure proper employee time off deductions, and benefits program deductions are applied.
  • Prepare and analyze benefits and payroll reports to identify discrepancies or trends.
  • Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • Implementation of new payroll systems or software upgrades, while collaborating with other departments such as Finance, and IT.
  • Conduct audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide employee support with payroll related inquiries, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance .

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Payroll & HRIS Specialist or similar role in Human Resources.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software such as ADP, Workday, Paycom, UKG.
  • Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Experience with related compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree required; preferably in Business, HR or Finance related field.
  • Human Resources Certification: PHR and or SHRM-CPP
  • Minimum of 3+years HRIS System Experience Required
  • Minimum of 3+years Payroll Experience Required (500 -1000 employees)
  • Bookkeeping Experience and Accounting preferred.
