Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounts payable (AP) and restaurant accounting, along with strong reconciliation skills and a proactive approach to financial tasks. This role offers the opportunity to support ongoing projects and help streamline our accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and handle vendor and staff inquiries.
- Review AP vouchers and check totals for accuracy.
- Reconcile vendor statements and follow up with vendors regarding outstanding items.
- Reconcile credit card and gift card liability accounts.
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing, including employee timesheets and tip logs
- Use the R365 platform to enter data, create reports, and manage financial information.
- Support the accounting team with project-based
- Maintain accurate documentation and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare reports for management and support project-based accounting tasks
- Collaborate with the accounting team to improve and document internal processes
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred ( or equivalent experience ).
- Experience using Restaurant365 (R365) is a strong plus.
- Experience with Symphony (Oracle MICROS) and ADP payroll systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial reconciliations.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Work Schedule & Commitment:
- Part-time, flexible hours, averaging 15-20 hours per week.
- Project-based work.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
