Capital Equipment is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our shop in Jefferson City, MO. Perform maintenance on Dump Truck, End Dump Truck, Pneumatic Truck, Low Boy/Heavy Haul Truck, Asphalt Cement Truck. Responsibilities Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of trucks. Perform corrective and preventative maintenance. Perform safety checks. Assist senior mechanics. Change brakes and tires. Trouble shoot and repair engine and transmission issues. Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts. Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must have your own tools. Field tech experience. Welding experience is a plus. Proficient with diagnostic tools is a plus. Must be able to work Saturdays, on occasion. Obtain a valid driver’s license. Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record. Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
