Job Description

About Monarch

Monarch partners with leading OB/GYNs to build and scale membership-based practices that deliver comprehensive, personalized care for women at every stage of life. By empowering physicians with the infrastructure, marketing, and operational support they need, Monarch is creating a new standard in women’s health: proactive, holistic, and accessible.

The Opportunity

Monarch is seeking a Head of Marketing to lead all marketing activities focused on membership growth and retention for Monarch-powered practices. This is a critical role that will directly impact our ability to grow sustainable practices and deliver exceptional experiences for our members.

This leader will design and execute marketing programs that attract new members and deepen engagement with existing ones—using a mix of digital, experiential, and community-based channels. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on ability to manage campaigns, vendors, and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Membership Growth

  • Develop and own Monarch’s membership acquisition strategy across digital and offline channels.
  • Build and optimize campaigns that reach women in each practice’s local market through digital marketing (paid search, paid social, SEO, email), community engagement, and content & thought leadership (PR, webinars).
  • Partner with external agencies and vendors to execute campaigns that deliver measurable results.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and practice teams to tailor marketing to each local market’s needs and brand voice.
  • Establish and track acquisition KPIs and continuously optimize performance.

Member Engagement & Retention

  • Develop initiatives to deepen relationships with members, improve satisfaction, and reduce churn.
  • Create ongoing communication and engagement programs (email, content, community, events) to reinforce the value of membership.
  • Monitor member feedback and data to inform retention strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with practice teams to ensure brand consistency and exceptional member experience across touchpoints.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of marketing experience with a focus on strategic marketing, consumer acquisition, lifecycle marketing, or retention.
  • Proven success driving growth in subscription, membership, or healthcare consumer businesses.
  • Experience managing agencies and external partners; able to set strategy, evaluate performance, and hold vendors accountable.
  • Deep understanding of multi-channel marketing—including digital, content, events, and PR.
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable with performance data and optimization.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Mission-driven and energized by the opportunity to help women access better healthcare.

What We Offer

  • The chance to build a marketing function that shapes how women discover and engage with Monarch’s practices.
  • High visibility and direct impact on business growth and member experience.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • A mission-driven team committed to transforming women’s health.

Location: Remote (US) with preference towards candidates in New York City

The base salary range for this role is $130,000–$190,000, plus equity. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and location
