ASM Global, the world's leading venue management and services company, has an immediate opening for the position of Event Staff in Port Huron, Michigan. Under the direction of the General Manager and Event Coordinator on Duty, the Part-Time Event Staff's primary responsibilities include greeting all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness, assisting event coordinators in preparation and execution of events, serving alcoholic beverages at wedding receptions in accordance with company standards and liquor laws, answering guest questions about food, beverages, and facilities, performing side work during non-busy hours, developing relationships with guests, providing the highest level of service, maintaining a professional appearance, communicating with staff to ensure guest satisfaction, reporting to work as scheduled, maintaining professional relationships with coworkers, clients, and guests, following checklists and standard operating procedures, maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area, ensuring guests have a positive and memorable experience, preparing work area for opening and closing, punching clock ready to work no earlier than ten minutes prior to shift, handling cash and/or beverage tickets, requesting identification for guests who appear 35 years or younger, and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, excellent verbal and written communication skills, bartending experience preferred, ability to read, speak and understand English, clear credit screen required, ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, ability to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods, minimum age of 17 for handling alcohol, and availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
