As we scale, we’re looking for a motivated entry-level Software Engineer who owns a self-starter mindset with the confidence that they can change the world through their work. What You'll Do: As an Entry-Level Software Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our development team, working closely with experienced engineers to build, test, and deploy high-quality software. Your responsibilities will include: Writing and debugging code for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for our PADO’s core platforms Developing and executing software tests, including unit and integration tests, to ensure code quality and reliability. Participating in the design and development of various software components and applications. Utilizing version control systems (like Git) for collaborative code management and participating in code reviews. Applying your understanding of algorithms and data structures to solve real-world problems in energy efficiency. Continuously learning and adapting to new programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum). Collaborating effectively with team members, including other developers, QA engineers, product managers, and designers. Documenting your code and processes clearly for maintainability and team understanding. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner. Actively participating in team meetings and contributing to discussions. Seeking and incorporating feedback from senior engineers and mentors to accelerate your growth. Qualifications: All full-time candidates will need to have completed or be on-track to complete a 4-year degree by June 2025 with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates having demonstrated experience completing independent software or data projects are particularly welcome. Software engineer candidates must have completed coursework in the following topics: object-oriented programming in Python, C/C++, or Java, databases with SQL programming, and data structures and algorithms. Coursework in the following optional topics are strongly desired: web-based programming, AI/ML, mobile programming, operating systems, embedded programming, and/or numerical programming with Python or R. All candidates should be prepared to complete a technical assessment, in addition to standard interviews. Why Join PADO?
