About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team in Edison, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating complex electrical systems including power, lighting, and medium-voltage distribution - ideally within industries such as pharmaceuticals, hospitals, and data centers. You'll play a key role in developing accurate, competitive estimates and supporting project success from the preconstruction phase through to execution.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for electrical power and lighting systems
Perform quantity take-offs and assign material and labor values
Source vendor pricing for specialty equipment and materials
Collaborate in estimate reviews and monitor cost trends vs. final estimates
Evaluate subcontractor bids and assist with scope reviews
Participate in scope changes, field orders, and change order pricing
Attend project kickoff and handoff meetings
Occasionally travel to job sites as needed
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in electrical estimating
Experience with projects in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, data centers, or substations
Electrical Engineering degree preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ConEst is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
