Location : Columbia, SC (Hybrid – in-office every other week for 2-3 days)

Role Overview

As the Director of Technology (Salesforce), you will oversee our Salesforce platform (Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce Clouds), leading a team of three cloud leads, one admin, and one business analyst. You will manage nine stakeholders, external partners, and strategic initiatives while ensuring platform health and velocity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Salesforce platform health, ensuring scalability and adherence to CPU limits.
  • Lead DevOps using Copado , including prioritization, technical design, UAT, sprints, and Jira integration.
  • Manage relationships with nine directors/VPs across sales, field service, and marketing.
  • Lead and mentor a team of three leads, one admin, and one business analyst.
  • Oversee Salesforce Integrators (SIs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
  • Prioritize strategic initiatives with a program manager using impact statements.
  • Ensure robust solutions architecture without hands-on Apex coding.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing multi-cloud Salesforce (Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce).
  • Expertise in Salesforce DevOps (prioritization, UAT, sprints, Jira, Copado).
  • Solutions architecture or DevOps background, ensuring platform health.
  • Experience managing nine+ stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven partner management with SIs and ISVs.
  • Leadership of small teams in complex Salesforce environments.
  • Industry experience with field offices (e.g., field service, retail).
  • Understanding of Apex without active coding.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications (active or expired, e.g., Technical Architect).
  • Advanced Copado experience.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid : Columbia, SC, with in-office time every other week for stakeholder collaboration.
  • Engage with sales, field service, compliance, and marketing teams, mostly local.
  • Supported by a program manager and partners to streamline prioritization.
  • Shape a low-maturity Salesforce platform with robust processes.
