Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider specializing in oral surgery, is seeking a Dental Assistant-IV Sedation to join their team. As a Dental Assistant-IV Sedation, you will be part of the Oral Surgery Department supporting dental residents and students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Dental Assistant-IV Sedation
Pay $27-32hr
Duration 3-months +
Location NY, NY 10010
Start Date: As soon as possible once medically cleared.
***Heavy IV Sedation experience required

What's the Job?

• Provide oral surgical assistance to dental residents and students during procedures.
• Assist in the administration of IV sedation and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures.
• Perform tests, prepare dental castings, and dispense medications and instructions.
• Assist with minor dental and surgical procedures ensuring safety and compliance.
• Ensure the safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in dental assisting, particularly with IV sedation.
• BLS Certification
• Graduate of a Dental Assistant Training Program.
• Knowledge of four-handed chairside dental techniques and dental lab equipment.
• Experience with oral surgery and general anesthesia is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to operate standard office equipment.
