Nature & Scope: Positional Overview

Are you a detail-oriented, highly confidential, administrative professional skilled in HR Compensation? Imagine Staffing is seeking a Compensation Specialist to join our client in Buffalo! This Compensation Specialist provides support to Compensation projects and administrative support for the Compensation and Corporate HR teams.

Role & Responsibility: Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success

• Develops and maintains various spreadsheet reports for specific purposes such as cost analyses, salary survey reporting and decision-making
• Produce reports and provide information using Compensation and HRIS platforms
• Establishes and maintains filing system for Compensation department including job description, job evaluations, departmental correspondence, salary surveys, contract negotiation pricing requests and other files consistent with a smooth operating budget
• Update and maintain Master Position List and Pay Practice Log
• Adhere to established Human Resource policy and procedure with confidential support
• Monitor salary threshold for FLSA guidelines
• Work with Compensation and Corporate HR team on special projects as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience: Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of college (A.A.S. Degree) or equivalent
• Three years of human resources, compensation, progressive technical support or administrative assistant experience
• Lawson experience preferred
• Payfactors experience preferred
• Expert proficiency level with Windows based environment, Word and Excel
• Ability to use self-initiative in completing required workload with little or no supervision
• Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn software applications
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
• Knowledge of Human Resources
• Ability to establish priorities
• Ability to work well to meet deadlines with patience and flexibility despite constant interruptions
• Good judgment, common sense and diplomacy along with the ability to relate to multiple organizational levels
• Ability to prepare reports, minutes and correspondence
• Demonstrates discretion in dealing with confidential matters

Location: Buffalo, NY

Hire Type: Contingent

Pay Range: $30-35/hour

Work Model: Onsite
