Part-Time Contract Role

SUMMARY

Leading and directing the Regency's Regenair Singers vocal ensemble, focusing on rehearsal techniques, musical repertoire, and quality delivery of performances. Manage rehearsals, scheduling of performances and selecting appropriate music for the existing singers to perform. Added plus, but not mandatory for hire, piano accompaniment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•Selecting Repertoire: Choosing music that is suitable for the choir's ability and style, and that aligns with performance goals.

•Leading Rehearsals: Conducting rehearsals to teach new music, polish existing pieces, and improve the choir's overall performance.

•Performance Coordination: Planning and organizing performances, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments of Regency as needed.

•Recruiting: Recruitment of new members and developing relationships with current choir members.

•Administrative Tasks: Managing the choir's schedule, budget, and logistics, including maintaining music libraries.

•Collaborating with Others: Working with other Regency staff, including the Life Enrichment Specialist, to ensure performance times, locations and requirements are confirmed and communicated in a timely manner.

•Developing Musical Talent: Coaching performers to help them achieve success and fostering each singer's musical growth.

•Promoting a Positive Choir Environment: Creating a positive and enjoyable experience for all choir members.

Relevant Experience

•Ability to communicate in an effective, timely and professional manner with both residents and Regency staff when conducting rehearsals and coordinating performances.

•Patients is key with the ability to work with older adults with age related vision and hearing loss who want to sing!

•Ability to read music.

•Ability to stand for 1-2 hours at a time.

•A valid Wisconsin Driver's License Regency New Berlin
