Wood is searching for a CDL Fuel Truck Driver in Freeport, TX. This is a full-time position. Must live within a 50 mile radius from facility.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy haul trucks.
• Comply with all DOT regulations.
• Arrive first to open gates and prepare the facility for the day.
• Inspect fuel truck (Unit 360) and ensure full DOT compliance before operation.
• Maintain current DOT license and adhere to all compliance requirements.
• HAZMAT-DOT Training
• Ready and fuel the truck as needed
• Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable company, state and federal regulations.
• Obtain necessary block entry permits, as required by a client owned facility, prior to entering their properties and/or operational units.
• Dispense the appropriate amount of fuel, oil or fluid into the proper tank or reservoir.
• Maintain an accurate log of dispensed fuels, oils and fluids and delivery said logs to the required reporting location in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL
• CDL with manual transmission operation?
• 4-10 Schedule
• Tanker, Air Brake and hazmat Endorsement
• Load equipment and secure loads.
• Time Management
• Good Communication Skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle.
• Driving Requirements - Driving ability consistent with maintaining a clear driving
• Reading Comprehension - Read and interpret road maps or driving directions. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
• Judgment and Decision Making - Be able to judge distances and weights accurately.
• Ability to respond in an emergency.
