Job Description

At Nielsen, we are passionate about our work to power a better media future for all people by providing powerful insights that drive client decisions and deliver extraordinary results. Our talented, global workforce is dedicated to capturing audience engagement with content - wherever and whenever it’s consumed. Together, we are proudly rooted in our deep legacy as we stand at the forefront of the media revolution. When you join Nielsen, you will join a dynamic team committed to excellence, perseverance, and the ambition to make an impact together. We champion you, because when you succeed, we do too. We enable your best to power our future.

The Nielsen Marketing Cloud has 3 core product offerings:

  1. Easy-to-use cloud software that enables first-party data management, including data ingestion, advanced insights, data segmentation, and audience syndication to downstream adtech platforms.

  2. Industry-leading audience data for targeting and activation in downstream adtech platforms that help brands and publishers more effectively engage consumers across all channels and at every stage in the consumer journey.

  3. First-party, ID-based data enrichment that expands brand and publisher data sets so they can learn more about their consumers, including who they are and what their interests are, ultimately leading to more personalized advertising.

Our Nielsen Marketing Cloud Publisher & Platform Business Development Team is small but mighty. As part of our team, you will be surrounded by a group of enthusiastic and consultative sellers with a deep understanding of the adtech ecosystem and how the sell-side can benefit from our products. You will also be joining a terrific organization that brings to bear the market’s most powerful proprietary data assets. Together we are not only helping the world’s biggest brands make better and faster marketing and media decisions, we are permanently disrupting the advertising landscape.

You will lead the sales strategy development and execution of Nielsen Marketing Cloud products to National and Local Media, CTV platforms and OTT media. We are looking for a dynamic seller who is client-focused with a strong background in data-driven solutions and in-depth knowledge of the TV/CTV advertising landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Develop quarterly and annual sales plans to identify growth opportunities with existing and new clients within CTV/OTT space.
  • Deliver agreed quarterly and annual sales targets through new business development.
  • Individually prospect, pitch and close sales across existing and new clients within CTV/OTT space.
  • Lead discovery sessions to identify the customer’s key needs and pain points. Work with the prospect in a consultative fashion to develop a digital strategy vision and position the Nielsen Marketing Cloud offering as an instrumental part of that vision.
  • Develop solid, strategic relationships with key decision-makers at targeted accounts.
  • Build internal relationships across the Client Strategy and Agency/Advertiser Sales Teams, as well as other members of the Publisher/Platform Team, to identify cross and upsell opportunities.
  • Leverage Senior leadership’s involvement with proposal and pitch development.
Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a sales/account management capacity for National and Local Media, CTV platforms or OTT media preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of media and advertising across CTV and digital landscapes.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic business plans, and executing them successfully.
  • Demonstrable experience in proposing and negotiating solutions and pricing.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical and logical reasoning skills.
  • Results-oriented, resilient, persuasive and self motivated.
  • High-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset to work well with others.
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 times per quarter.
